Key Takeaways
Strategy is a long term project.
For L&D and talent development teams, you need to understand who your user or customer is and based on that you can start developing your strategy. Map out the employee journey. Focus on building the strategy and mapping out the touch points across the employee journey. Look at the employee life cycle and based on that, try to understand the specific touch points that your team can bring value to. From those touch points you can then set goals.
Then translate that into "where are we now" to "where do we want to be". This is the foundation to developing a solid strategy. You can gather the touch points by doing a creative session with your team and looking back at past performance. Miro: Customer Journey Map Template
