Key Takeaways
One issue you want to avoid is setting the strategy and the goals too narrow and conservative.
Don’t be afraid to set bigger goals and try some new ways to approach the goals. Strategy is flexible so feel free to modify it. The L&D field changes are quite fast and significant for example in the environment or the ways of learning so long term planning is almost impossible. This adaptability is really important. Be agile and adjust quickly. Another one is not applying marketing strategies of the L&D activities and projects. Employees when asked usually don’t know that such activities are taking place. You should build a good campaign for the project you are developing. Especially if you are going big with it, then have sponsors, stakeholders talk about it. Make your projects visible to other people at the company. It is also useful to have a dedicated space to showcase the L&D projects. Think about learning as a product and how to promote it.
