The most important factor impacting the benefit from coaching and mentoring is the stage of the company and what they need. Mentorship programs are usually for junior and mid-level employees because it requires a lower level of experience.
Coaching is usually for senior and leadership level employees.
Mentor skills come to people more naturally (we are used to this behavior) like when we were kids and parents told us how to do something. Coaching is something different, which is why we have to learn it.
